This 1967 Plymouth GTX was originally assembled at the Lynch Road plant in Detroit and has 38,218 original miles. It underwent a professional ground-up restoration and is powered by a period-correct drivetrain with its 426ci HEMI V8 engine fitted with two 4-barrel carburetors. The engine is mated to a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission with auxiliary oil cooler. This vehicle is equipped with power steering and front disc brakes with drums on the rear. The Sure-Grip axle ratio is 3.23:1.
This GTX is finished in light turquoise paint with optional black racing stripes and a black vinyl interior with bucket seats. Some features include a factory console tachometer, fender-mounted turn signals, AM radio, 3/8” fuel lines, a different K-frame, and a larger radiator support and radiator. The HEMI-powered 1967 B-body cars had several key upgrades to handle the added power, including a stronger chassis with torque boxes connecting the rear bulkhead into the side rails.
