Details
The 1967 Comet 202 'R' Code was one of the true ultra rare factory race/street cars made in the 60's. It was a bare bones 2 door post sedan that was 9' shorter but much stronger than the heavier hardtops. It came with the monster FE 427cid side-oiler, dual 4-barrel, medium riser, 425hp engine. It also was equipped with the 4-speed Top Loader gear box and the famed 9' rear 3.89 Trac-Lok, all from the factory. This rare race car has factory special exhaust manifolds and hood clearance bracing.
Restored to factory specs, finished in 2009 with correct original hidden factory numbers. This specific Comet 202 is documented by a Kevin Marti Report as being a real 1 of 22 'R' Code, as ordered by Dealer #51F421, Lake Motors, Salt Lake City, Utah on March 17, 1967.
