Jaguar XKE 4.2L Series I Roadster with left-hand drive. The VIN/chassis, engine, body and gearbox numbers are all original. The exterior is silver blue and the interior is black. The current owner purchased this Jaguar XKE on August 15, 1972, in Denver, CO, and has driven, Maintained, repaired and shown the Jaguar for 44 years. From 2008 to 2015 the owner totally disassembled and completely cleaned, inspected and restored the car. The engine, gearbox and differential/rear suspension were
rebuilt. The seats, dash, radio, box, door panels, carpeting, console, glove box and complete interior was cleaned, repaired or restored. It has a new OEM clutch with Fidanza aluminum flywheel, new U-joints in drive shaft, new stainless-steel exhaust with porcelain manifolds and chrome resonators. Cleaned and rebuilt intake manifold, choke and the triple carburetors. It has new chrome bumpers and motif bar. New front and rear suspension, ball joints, polyurethane front bushings, shocks, rear mounts and motor mounts. It has new brake rotors, master cylinder and slave cylinder, rebuilt brake cylinders and brake lines. New water pump, aluminum radiator, Series II radiator fan and mount, otter switch, thermostat, header tank and hoses. New wiring loom on the left side and new rubber around the car. The body was stripped, sanded and prepared for painting and all metal repairs were welded. The paint urethane base coat/clear coat in the original 1967 Jaguar color for this XKE form factory records, Opalescent Silver Blue. New blue Stayfast convertible top was installed with new bow straps, headliner and trim. The wire wheels are original Dunlop with 2001 Dunlop D65 Touring P215/70R15 tires. The four on the ground have 3,000 miles and zero miles on the one in the trunk. The wheel in the trunk has four broken spokes (three of the four on the ground very good and one good); four new knock-off wingnuts make the wheels stand out. The trunk is cleaned and restored with new tan mat, tan side panels, fuel pump, sump, hoses and gas tank painted. The wood on the dash is factory original and very rare. The speedometer needs to be cleaned and calibrated. The original jack and handle, replacement tool role, wing nut board, original foot board, tonneau cover, hammer, XKE owner's manual and extra parts in the property box go with this original 73,500 miles, mileage not indicated on title. 700 miles since rebuilt.
