Details

This 1967 Citroen 2CV Charleston with 602cc/29hp engine and 1964 single wheel trailer were prepared for a 30 day LA to Alaska trip. It is equipped with disc front brakes and can be driven at 65+ mph. It was driven to the 2008 Citroen Rendezvous with no issues. It has a set of UK Raid powdercoated tubular bumpers and Robri trim including the rare Robri exhaust extension. It has the correct style locking gas cap, stainless front window props, a custom machined ?' 6061 Raid style aluminum skid plate and period correct yellow bulb Marchal fog lights with stainless steel screen rock guards. There is a powerful rear fog light and a defrosting rear window. The top has been modified with a vent panel that can be rolled up to give outstanding flow through ventilation and eliminate buffeting at freeway speeds that is common on the faster 602 cars. It has a spare tire, the original Citroen wooden wheel chock, jack and the jack handle which doubles as a manual start crank. The original Citroen horn is complimented by a dual trumpet air horn. There is a tastefully installed Rostra electronic cruise control device to augment the long distance touring capability of the car. The matching 1964 single wheel trailer of 65lbs has a lightweight all aluminum frame, suspension and locking capability. The hitch attachment point to the Citroen is the rear bumper bolts with no additional holes drilled. It can be removed with QR clips in a few seconds or removed completely in about 10 minutes. It has been completed with 1959 Cadillac tail lights which was a common, period correct upgrade to the original boat trailer style lights. The trailer has its own small 12v battery and electrical system that can be left on at car shows or switched over for normal operation via the car's electrical system. **SOLD AS A PAIR WITH LOT #325.2**
