This gorgeous 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 is the real deal. It has been completely restored to show-quality standards throughout. It retains the original VIN tag, trim tag, sheet metal, color combination, engine, transmission and rear end. It's not easy to find Chevelles from this generation that are truly authentic like this one. As the original VIN tag number and trim tag indicate, this car left the Atlanta, GA, factory as a 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 2-Door Sport Coupe. The original

trim tag also indicates, it was built on the fourth week of May with an Ermine White exterior, Medium Red interior, tinted glass and a 4-speed manual transmission. This car was owned by a gentleman in Mississippi who performed a thorough frame-off restoration that was completed in 2019. It was the perfect candidate for a restoration because it was a very original car. During the restoration many original parts were used throughout. The exterior of this car is gorgeous with its classic appearance. The body is really straight with great gaps lines throughout. The hood, doors and trunk lid shut beautifully. The body was finished in its original color of Ermine White with a red lower stripe. The paint job is beautiful and has been detailed to a brilliant shine. The front windshield is new and all the remaining glass is in very nice original condition. Some of the original exterior trim pieces include the window trim, door handles, front grille, front bumper and lower body side molding. Some of the new exterior trim pieces include the driver's mirror, rear panel, rear taillight bezels, rear bumper, antenna and emblems. The car sits on 14-inch white steel wheels with chrome center caps. The wheels are wrapped with new Firestone Super Sport Wide Oval Redline F70-14 tires. The interior of this car is also gorgeous and complements the exterior perfectly. It was correctly restored in its original color of red with a bench seat. The interior is really spacious and comfortable. Everything in the interior has been restored or replaced. Everything in the interior is in working order, such as the dome light, glove box light, gauges, headlights, turn signals, horn, radio and heat. It's equipped with power steering that operates smoothly. The trunk compartment has been restored and is nicely detailed. It's equipped with a trunk mat, spare and tools. The engine compartment is nicely detailed throughout with many correct parts. The car is powered by the original matching-numbers 'L35' 396/325 V8 engine. The engine pad numbers indicate it was built at the Tonawanda engine plant on May 15 as an 'L35,' which is a 396/325hp 4-barrel with 4-speed manual. The engine pad numbers also indicate the matching VIN to this car. This engine was rebuilt and runs excellent. It's been dressed many correct parts, such as the chrome valve cover and air cleaner. It's cooled by the correct-style radiator with GM stamped hoses. It breathes through factory manifolds, and new dual exhaust that sounds awesome. It has an original-style Delco battery with new cables. The engine is coupled to the original matching-numbers 4-speed manual transmission. The transmission was rebuilt and shifts smoothly with the new clutch and resurfaced flywheel. The power is transferred to the 12-bolt posi-traction rear end with 3.31 gears. The undercarriage is nicely detailed throughout with many correct parts. This is definitely mirror-quality for car shows. The original floors were finished in black. Everything underneath has been restored or replaced, including such items as the steering components, suspension system and braking system.
