Details

The complete, body-off restoration of this classic, one-of-a-kind Camaro RS Resto-Mod convertible was professionally completed over the course of two years. It is powered by a fresh 5.7-liter Tuned-Port Injection Corvette Performance engine, built to produce 410hp, which resides in an engine bay full of billet and one-off parts. Some of the included parts are intake runners, increased for maximum flow, Bosch 94cc injectors, Painless engine harness, COMP cam, fresh M22 Rock Crusher Muncie 4-speed manual transmission with all-new components and a McLeod hydraulic clutch with Inland Empire driveline aluminum shaft. The rust-free body was media soda-blasted, primed, smoothed, blocked and painted in PPG Torch Red with five coats of House of Kolor clear. It was then painted inside, out and underneath and upgraded with electronic headlight doors and a steel L88 hood. The Scotts Performance Pro-Touring front suspension features custom components, power rack & pinion, Wilwood brakes and Alden coilovers. The rear suspension is a custom one-off 4-link setup with Moser Tru Trac 370 ratio, Wilwood brakes and Alden coilovers. The interior is custom using houndstooth-patterned upholstery and Dynamat Extreme that was applied to all of the interior surfaces. Four power windows, Dakota shaded gray glass, Dakota Digital gauges, Ididit column and Touch Start technology, Mercedes Haartz cloth top, Vintage Air Stage Four and a custom Autosound entertainment system complete the interior. This Resto-Mod rides on U.S. Mags Bandit 17” wheels. This beauty took over two years to build with over $131,000 invested in the restoration.
