Details

This 1967 Camaro coupe is a tribute to the Penske Sunoco Camaro. Restored to the highest quality, the Camaro is powered by a 400cid Chevy engine. Based on a Donovan aluminum block and Edelbrock 18 degree aluminum heads, the engine is equipped with a shaft kit with roller camshaft, Carrillo rods and Ross pistons with Total Seal rings, Edlbrock single-plane intake, Holley HP carburetor and Aviaid dry-sump oil system. Spent gases are handled by DAH Header Works custom headers, a 3' exhaust system

with X-crossover, open exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. Sparing virtually no expense, the transmission is a Richmond Gate Box with magnesium-case tailshaft and long shifter Heim rods. The rear end is a custom Speedway Engine bearing and Ford 9' housing with negative camber built-in, full floater with crowned axles for camber and a Ford nodular case with large bearing pinion, 3.75:1 gears, Tru-Trac locker and large yoke. The trunk houses a custom 22 gallon fuel cell, Odyssey battery and Holley fuel pump. Brakes are '66 Lincoln calipers and 12' rotors, stainless-steel brake force, along with aluminum calipers, Tilton pedal box and Porterfield brake pads. The suspension includes Penske Shock absorbers, reservoirs, with coiling over the front springs and a narrow spring kit by Dralle. Global West upper control arms, modified stock lower arms, Camaro spindles, Wilwood aluminum front hubs, Flaming River steering box and the all-steel LN gauge heavy duty Camaro and Baer bump steer kit. With its superior upgrades and high-quality build, this car looks like one of the most iconic cars in race history, with the drivability and horsepower of a modern race car. This 1967 Camaro was featured on the September 2010 cover of Victory Lane magazine. A successful competitor, it earned Pole position on its first outing at the HMSA Baxter Auto Parts Event at the Portland Historic, finishing 2nd there. In addition, the Camaro was raced at the HSR Cal Speedway Spring Event, where it finished in 5th place. ** NOT STREET LEGAL, SOLD ON BILL OF SALE ONLY**
