Details

This first-generation classic Mustang is simply stunning with its gorgeous design and color combination. It has been completely restored and is loaded with upgrades throughout. As the VIN number indicates, this car was built in San Jose, CA, as a 1966 Ford Mustang fastback with a 289ci 4V 225hp V8 engine. As the original Date Plate indicates: Body Code 63B = 2+2 Fastback with luxury interior, Exterior color: R = Ivy Green, Interior trim F8 = Parchment with Ivy gold trim, Production 08 J = September 08, 1965, Axle 1 = 3.00:1 and Trans 5 = 4-speed manual. During the restoration, a Shelby GT350-style fiberglass hood was added. The body is straight with nice panel fitment throughout. It was finished in Porsche Emerald Green with tan GT350 stripes. The paint is in beautiful condition and has been recently detailed. The front windshield is new, and all the stainless trim is very nice. Some exterior features include Shelby Cobra-style mirrors, chrome 'shark fin' appointments on front grille and rear quarters, GT fog light front bar on grille, modern headlights, GT350 gas cap, custom emblems and new bumpers. The car sits proudly on 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust polished wheels with spinners. The wheels are wrapped with new Hankook Ventus 215/50/17 tires. The exterior is complemented by a custom two-tone tan interior with painted green accents. The custom upholstery work includes the headliner, sun visors, center console, door panels, bucket seats, rear seats and carpeting. Some of the custom interior features include a silver gauge bezel, white-face gauges, aluminum glove box door, chrome tilt steering column with billet levers, Moto-Lite wood steering wheel with Cobra center cap, Cobra emblems on seats and seat belt buckles, Hurst shifter with billet Cobra shift knob, cup holders, storage compartment and modern retro Mustang stereo system with center speaker. The trunk compartment is boxed and upholstered to match the interior. The front trunk panel has GT350 embroidered in it. The painted engine compartment is nicely detailed throughout with many upgrades. The backside of the hood was painted the body color and is held with new Ringbrothers aluminum hinges. The car is powered by a rebuilt 302ci V8 engine with GT40P heads. Some features include a chrome strut tower brace and fender brace, Cobra aluminum valve covers, Cobra aluminum air cleaner, Holley Quick Fuel carburetor, chrome pulleys, chrome oil pan, chrome water pump cover, chrome alternator, MSD electronic ignition system and Taylor wires with aluminum wire looms. The engine is cooled by a Be Cool aluminum radiator with electric fan and billet overfill canister. The engine breathes through stainless polished Tri-Y headers and Flowmaster mufflers with chrome exhaust tips. The engine is coupled to a rebuilt 4-speed Toploader manual transmission with hydraulic clutch. The power is transferred to the rebuilt Ford 8-inch posi-traction rear end. The undercarriage is very clean and was Rhino-lined for durability. Some undercarriage features include frame connectors, new fuel tank, Flaming River rack & pinion steering system, power front disc brakes, HD leaf springs, rear stabilizer bar and KYB shocks. This car has recently been serviced and detailed, which is documented with an invoice that is included. From the MS CLASSIC CARS collection.
