Details
This is a very rare, matching numbers 1966 Ford T5 export Mustang with factory combination of Candy Apple Red paint with black standard interior. The car has a 289cid with a manual 3-speed transmission. There were fewer than 600 of these cars manufactured in 1966. All of the T5 badges were redone and the car has the correct horn ring. Following is a list of all the new parts used in the restoration process in 2008: carpet, upholstery, dash, headliner, sill plates and emblems, package tray, kick panels, instrument bezel, box liner, new spearker for dash, door panels, arm rests and bases, heater core and repair kit, heater defroster plenum, defroster hoses, shift boot and shift ball. New trunk mat and trunk mat board, restored original T5 emblems, new windshield, front and rear bumpers, rocker panel moldings, lower grille moldings, front parking lights, bumper guards front and rear, 289 V emblems, running horses, quarter ornaments, FORD hood letters, trunk lock cylinder, new lock set, hood peak molding, door handles and backup lights. The weatherstripping for the door, inner door, inner quarter, roof rail, quarter window, trunk, cowl, front and rear windows, door bumpers, hood bumpers and stops. The original engine has been rebuilt, the waterpump, fuel pump, hoses, belts alternator, battery cables battery radiator, new cap and rotor, fuel tank and new tires and rims.
