Details
This is a re-creation of the Bill Jenkins 1966 Chevrolet L79 Nova race car well-known in the racing world as 'Grumpy's Toy.' Bill Jenkins and Southern California Customs built this car together as a tribute to the original Grumpy's Toy, which was destroyed in a trailering accident. The Grumps Nova was a dominate figure at most of the national events. This car was built from an original rust-free Nova with original interior and paint. Many parts and pieces from the original Grumpy's Toy were also
utilized in this build. The engine compartment and chassis were fully restored, and a fresh 327ci race engine was installed. A race clutch with a 12-bolt rear was also installed. Some of the parts that were used to restore this car even came from Bill 'Grumpy' Jenkins himself. The trunk was signed by Bill 'Grumpy' Jenkins, as well as Linda Vaughn, Miss Hurst Golden Shifter.
