Description
This custom 1966 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham was completely taken apart, bodyworked, and painted inside and out with six coats of House of Kolor clear coat. It took over 500 hours to complete the bodywork and paint. After a month of curing out, the car was then sanded with 800 grit up to 2,000 grit to give it a flat texture finish once it was buffed out. The license plate section on the front bumper was welded up for a cleaner smoother look before all the chrome trim, including bumpers, was sent out to be sand-blasted and powder-coated with primer. Once returned, over 100 pieces were completely bodyworked and painted to match the car's exterior BMW Alpine White paint job. All trim was also spiked with House of Kolor white ice pearl. Inside the trunk was cleaned up and sprayed with white bed liner. All rubber seals were replaced and the car was fit with a set of 15-inch LA Wire wheels customized with Cadillac center caps and a set of Coker whitewalls to set it off. The car sits on air ride with AccuAir level-ride adjustment. It has three settings, one for cruising, one for riding low and one for laying it out. This vehicle is equipped with a fresh front windshield and rebuilt vent windows color-matched to the body. Custom front wheel wells were installed up front and painted black. After pressure washing the engine bay, the car was sent out to have the transmission and engine oil drained, sealed up and a new aluminum radiator installed. The vehicle also received a new battery and cables with kill fuses, new radiator hoses, drain plug and a new overflow tank. The car was then sent out to have all the interior redone in two-tone black vinyl and suede to update the inside appearance, including the dash and a custom loop carpet kit with floor mats. All four door panels were completely rebuilt, and all seat belts were replaced with aviation-style lap belts. A custom-built rear deck with a set of 5.25-inch speakers was installed. Up front a set of custom kick panels were made for a set of 5.25-inch JL Audio speakers. A custom sub-box with a 12-inch slimline 40hm, 400-watt JL Audio subwoofer was installed, and a Class D5 channel amp hidden behind the trunk kit to power the entire sound system. Up front a JL Audio marine Bluetooth receiver was installed hidden in the ashtray to keep an original look to the dash. The car was then sent out for a dual glass pack exhaust from the header's back.
Complete bodywork and paint restoration inside and out; painted BMW Alpine White. Hundreds of hours invested and over 100 pieces of trim bodyworked and painted to match the body.
