Presenting a 1965 Cobra 427SC re-creation that was built by famous Contemporary Classic Motor Car Company, Inc. in 1988. A Contemporary Cobra re-creation is not a 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation copy of a body that was incorrect to start with. This was patterned directly from the original SC, CSX3045 and comes with correctly shaped and flared rear fenders and provisions for a 3 1/ Lemans fuel filler cap. This car has excellent body fitment and a fiberglass hood scoop that is riveted to the hood. It's
been painted in a pearl white with racing stripes. The white paint has multiple colors in it depending on the lighting. It has the original style windshield wind wings, Lucas lighting and front and rear bumpers complete with uprights. It also has the soft top that is included with the car. The car is wrapped in Halibrand style 5 bolt 15' wheels. The exterior is complimented with blue interior. Some features are original style aluminum SC dash, Smiths instruments, leather upholstered tubular steel seats with adjusters and 3' competition lap seat belts. The engine compartment houses a period correct 427 side oiler with aluminum Edlebrock Performer heads and two four barrel Holley carburetors. The aluminum radiator with electric fan keeps it cool. The engine is coupled with a top loader 4-speed transmission. It's built on a 4' round steel tube frame similar to original specs. It has Jaguar XKE rack and pinion steering and Jaguar XKE fully independent front and rear suspension like the original. The front brakes are Jaguar vented rotors with Wilwood 4-piston calipers with Jaguar Girling rear.
