1964 FORD FAIRLANE 500 CUSTOM COUPE

This custom 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 is powered by a 427ci side-oiler V8 engine paired with a 4-speed Toploader transmission and a limited-slip differential. It is equipped with front disc brakes, hood and trunklid pins, Lexan side and rear windows, a roll cage, black leather seats, and fiberglass hood, bumpers and fenders. It is finished in Corinthian White with blue stripes and rides on 15-inch Bassett wheels. This 2-door hardtop was built for the owner by Holman-Moody in 2010 and is one of three examples produced, with two built as race cars. This example was sent to Rhine Enterprise in 2015 for additional modifications to the suspension, cooling system and interior. Service there in March 2023 included rebuilding the carburetor, adjusting the suspension and replacing the spark plugs, coolant hoses, radiator, thermostat and throw-out bearing. In the early 1960s, Holman-Moody built a Ford Fairlane 500 race car at the behest of NASCAR. In the late 2000s, Holman-Moody received FIA approval to build continuation Fairlanes in the style of the original test car. This Fairlane is now offered with Holman-Moody sales paperwork, build and service records, literature and a Florida title. Title reads not actual miles.
