1964 CHEVROLET BISCAYNE 2 DOOR SEDAN

This car was purchased new at Creighton, NE in August 1964. It was found in Bloomfield, NE in December 1996 where it was purchased from the 81 year old original owner who, after had to stop driving, always kept it in the garage and covered it with blankets. The 6 cylinder engine with a 3-speed on the column and radio delete was the way it was ordered. It was featured in The Great Chevys Magazine in 1999 and told the story of how the car was found in a barn and all about the original owner. Later on, it was consigned to The Floyd Garrett Museum in Sevierville, TN. The car was purchased by its current owner in November 2006, and began to put his touches on it. You can tell about a vehicle by the way it drives and handles, it is amazing and this vehicle is very tight. You can tell that it has not been restored by the way it performs, however, I felt the car needed an upgrade. After two years of searching, I found a 409/340hp engine coded for that era. I then went completely through the engine, checked all tolerances and replaced all parts except the steel crank which was turned .010. I used a Muncie 4-speed and found an original shift collar for the shift on the floor and the shifter mounting panel, just as it would have come from the factory. The original tachometer was installed. The car is an immaculate rust-free vehicle that will be an asset to any collector. It now has less than 37,100 original miles and is unrestored.

Radio delete, less than 37,100 original miles, unrestored, red paint and interior, upgraded to 409/340hp and a 4-speed, but is unrestored.
