This is a ground-up build of a 1980 Volkswagen Samba converted to a re-creation 1963 Deluxe 23-Window ragtop microbus. A three-year-long restoration, it was just completed in September 2017. The interior and headliner were matched to the original 1963 Samba microbus. Split-middle and rear seats were also installed. Included in the interior are the correct rear 'jail bars' protecting the windows. It has pop-out side windows as well as a front and a rear roof rack. It is powered by a rebuilt
1835cc 4-cylinder air-cooled engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. One special feature of the bus it has air conditioning. The original factory Window Sticker, birth certificate and all documentation from Brazil, including the list of owners, is included with this converted 1980 Samba Transporter bus.
