Two owner car, same original owner for 44 years, Craig White purchased the car from Tasca Ford in Rhode Island in 1964. He used the car to go to college on the east coast before moving to San Diego in 1990. Restoration completed in 1990.
Details
This is an original '63 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500. It came with and still has the factory 427cid/410hp 'Q' Code engine with a top loader 4-speed transmission. The 4-speed was the only transmission available with the 427. She still has the original cast iron headers and dumps in the exhaust. Original 15' wheels were widened to 8' to give the NASCAR look that Ford tried to achieve. Reproduction cheater slicks and traction bars give it that NHRA look.
