Description
This stripped down model of the Fairlane is a Thunderbolt re-creation with a 427 center oiler, deleted radio, heater, carpet, sound deadener, body insulation, rear window cranks, all armrests, spare tire and jack, the passenger sun visor and windshield wiper, as well as making the front bumper, fenders and hood all fiberglass to decrease the weight of the car. Burgundy with a tan interior, drag racing tires, special traction bar to eliminate body roll and a trunk mounted truck battery with an external power shut off switch following National Hot Rod Association rules. This car follows intricate details matching them item for item to the original car. The engine is a 427cid with 425hp, dual 4-barrel carburetors, a 4-speed Top Loader transmission, 9' rear end, all fully rebuilt. The only variance to the originals is the 4.56:1 gear ratio, the originals were 4.11:1.
