1963 CHEVROLET CORVETTE SPLIT-WINDOW CUSTOM COUPE

This 1963 Corvette split-window coupe Resto-Mod was finished in early 2020 and barely driven. Highlights include an LS3 6.2-liter crate engine with 495hp and GMPP controller system backed by a TKO600-RR 5-speed manual transmission and 3.42:1 differential. The custom chassis is by Corvette Chassis Concepts and features C7 suspension and coilover shocks all around, C7 Stingray brakes by Brembo, C7 Stingray wheels and super-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The exhaust is custom fabricated using chambered pipes for that classic Corvette side-pipe sound, and the custom air-intake draws cold air from the cowl. The brakes are actuated by a modern power-brake system that uses an electric pump mounted inconspicuously down on the firewall to create the hydraulic boost pressure, and the steering is via a Flaming River tilt column sending inputs to the power rack & pinion. Improving on basic black, this car is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic that makes the classic lines pop out in the sun without overwhelming the classic look. Inside, the experience of driving a classic 1963 split-window coupe is maintained with all new and reproduced stock-style black interior parts in addition to the C5 leather seats that give you the support needed when driving a car with modern handling. Dakota Digital gauges, RetroSound stereo, Vintage Air, Detroit Speed headlight motor upgrade and power windows finish off the experience by giving modern conveniences while preserving the classic feel of the cockpit. Everything on the car is new except the body itself. This Corvette has been dyno-tuned to squeeze every horsepower out of the cammed LS3 crate engine.
