Details

This 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova is powered by a balanced 454ci big-block engine with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with an aluminum driveshaft. The engine features a solid cam, roller rockers, coated Chassisworks headers, Spintech mufflers and 3” dual exhaust. This Nova is equipped with an Entropy radiator and transmission cooler with fan controller, rack & pinion steering, two front-to-back steel box rails, numerous Chassisworks parts, bolt-on front clip with complete suspension, Varishock adjustable shocks, rear 4-link suspension, wheel tubs and a ro1l cage with swing-out door bars. It’s also equipped with a Ford 9” FAB9 rear end with 3.70 gears, Strange heavy-duty aluminum S-trac and 35-spline axles. The cage and frame are NHRA certified up to 8.5-ET. The fuel system features a 12-gallon fuel cell in the trunk, Holley red fuel pump, 8AN line-to-pressure regulator and Holley 750 double pumper with 6AN return. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood disc brakes and master cylinder with all-stainless lines, and the drive can adjust the rear brake proportioning valve and use the front line lock. The electrical system uses a complete American Auto Wire kit. The laser-straight steel body wears 2015 Hot Rod Red paint with a urethane clear coat, and an added 2-1/2” metal hood cowl. The car was completely taken apart before painting, and no Bondo was used. Body modifications include filled and smoothed firewall, gas door and antenna, and enlarged rear wheel openings. Most of the original trim was professionally restored, while the rest was replaced with new pieces. The interior was extensively insulated with Second Skin’s liquid sound-deadener, dampening mat and foams. It features Procar bucket seats with Simpson 5-point harnesses, an Ididit tilt steering column, SpeedHut gauges, new headliner, carpet and door panels, and a center console with Hurst shifter, 12-volt socket, MSD 6AL-2 ignition, transmission temperature gauge, line lock switch, two cup holder, storage compartment and an armrest. This Nova rides on 15” Centerline Warrior polished aluminum wheels wrapped in new Hoosier rubber. This Nova was originally built in Sacramento, CA, where it resided with its first and second owners until 2013, and was completed in San Diego in 2018. Street-driven 630 miles, never raced.
