Details

This custom 1962 Lincoln Continental convertible Resto-Mod is presented in Midnight Metallic Blue with a black and blue Napa Italian leather interior. Included in the no-expense-spared custom restoration is a bare metal paint job, brand-new modern engine and performance suspension, custom interior and sound system. Under the hood is a brand-new fuel-injected 6.2-liter LSX376-B8 crate engine. The blower-friendly and ready 9.0:01 forged pistons combined with the LS3's high-flow, rectangular port

heads is designed for boost applications up to 8 pounds. The installed configuration offers 476hp at 5,900 rpm and 475 ft/lbs of torque at 4,700 rpm. Mated to the engine is a built 4L80E transmission. The engine is topped with a Holley Ultra Lo-Ram EFI intake manifold that has less than 500 test miles and paired with a mid-mount Holley serpentine accessory drive. The Holley Terminator X Max provides control for the drivetrain. The rear end has been replaced with a brand-new, built-to-order Ford 9-inch rear with 3.73 gears and disc brakes. The original gearbox and steering was replaced with a modern Flaming River rack & pinion. A performance suspension utilizes Murray Kustom Rods control arms in the front along with their 4-link kit in the back. However, instead of using air bags, the Murray's hardware was modified to accommodate QA1 double adjustable coilovers. With the provided wrench, the desired ride height can be dialed in. Stopping power is provided by a Hydro-Boost brake system connected to a fully machined billet aluminum master cylinder from Baer with disc brakes on all four corners. Front discs are 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors from ABS Power Brakes. The custom full stainless exhaust front to back has an H-pipe configuration with Dynomax mufflers. The gas tank has been replaced with a custom-built stainless tank complete with an Aeromotive intake pump, along with new fuel lines. The radiator has been upgraded to a high-flow aluminum radiator. A Kwik Wire 22 circuit fuse box and wiring kit wires the car from taillight to headlight. The car sits on a set of Isotope 20-inch Kendall chrome wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes 245/40R20 tires with a 1.25-inch whitewall. Inside the car, the custom electric bucket seats with integrated shoulder seat belts are upholstered in Nappa Italian leather. The dash is adorned by Dakota Digital black gauges with white LED lighting. A custom modern steering wheel wrapped in leather replaces the original. Air conditioning is provided by Vintage Air's Magnum IV climate-control system. Isotope custom door panels with custom chrome trim and metal speaker grilles were made to house Focal 6.5-inch speakers in all four doors. An audio control DSP amplifier provides power to the speakers and the JL Audio subwoofer. The brains for the audio system comes from a RetroSound Bluetooth radio. The tinted front windshield was replaced with clear glass, along with all-new weatherstripping. The brightwork has been gone through and polished and chromed. The entire floorboard of the car was sealed with POR15 and then sound-deadened from front to back and layered with foam under the synthetic black wool carpet. Additionally, the window motors were replaced with modern Dorman window motors. Power door lock actuators have been added and lock/unlock with a remote key fob via Viper keyless entry. The convertible top itself has been reupholstered with a Mercedes blue Robbins Haartz Stayfast canvas top. The convertible top pump (John Cashman), the four Rams and all hoses have been replaced with brand-new parts.
