1962 DODGE W200 POWER WAGON CUSTOM TRUCK

This 1962 Dodge W200 3/4-ton 4-wheel-drive Power Wagon is a piece of history. This vehicle served at Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ, from 1962 to 1972 as an ambulance. Customized in 2003 to be an off-road RV bug-out vehicle. The original 225ci Straight-6 engine was completely rebuilt, resealed and gone through top to bottom. The manual transmission was rebuilt at the same time. The original ambulance beds were removed along with the wooden floors and replaced with reinforced diamond plate and a fold-down 6-foot bed and locking storage box. The vehicle's color was changed from military green to blue and the amber light was changed to blue as well, giving the truck a vintage SWAT-team-type look. Factory-equipped with a Branden Model LU2 8,000-pound PTO driven winch and Spicer twin-stick transfer case. The water pump was replaced this year and the carburetor was rebuilt. This truck runs and drives very well. Power brakes make stopping a breeze. The transmission and engine are in very good running condition; fires right up and can be driven anywhere. Tires are Dunlop Mud Rovers that retain the classic look of the '60s with modern-day reliability. This is vehicle is a piece of military history. Everything works as it should, and it is a true conversation piece.

Originally constructed for use as an Air Force Base ambulance and modified in 2003 to its current configuration. Four-wheel drive; powered by a 225ci Straight-6 engine with a manual transmission.
