Details
This 1962 Pro-Touring-style Corvette was inspired by the 2016 C7 Z06. It was professionally built with the new 6.2-liter LT4 direct-injected supercharged Corvette engine with 650hp, 650 ft/lbs of torque and 4L85E automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission are under GM factory two-year, 24,000-mile warranty. It has an Art Morrison chassis with Compact IRS and C7 control arms, fully adjustable ride height and JRI coilovers. The frame was powder-coated in a contrasting shade of
silver. It features Wilwood C7 6-piston calipers, 15' rotors, the biggest brake package available and stainless-steel brake lines. It rides on 19' front and 20' rear Schott wheel Mod Sport 3s with 3-bar knockoff center nuts and Nitto Extreme tires. It also has power rack & pinion steering, whisper-quiet Aeromotive 340 Phantom Stealth in-tank pump, Fragola Teflon fuel lines and fittings, GM wiring harness and factory-programmed computer. Other features include polished front-runner assembly, LT4 headers, 2-1/2' stainless exhaust, Dynomax polished mufflers and side-exiting exhaust. The body was completely stripped with glass beads. The driver's side firewall was pushed 3' forward, Evercoat Feather Fill polyester primer was used, sealed, painted in a PPG Liquid Metals Silver from the Vibrance Collection, cleared, sanded from 800 to 5,000 grit and polished. The same attention to detail was performed on the bottom side of the car. The hood is a carbon-fiber louvered 2016 Corvette Z06 hood molded to fit this C1 with a metallic white stripe. All body gaps are excellent, body panels are laser-straight and the fit and finish is unparalleled. The engine bay was finished to the highest standards and great attention was paid to render the wiring nearly invisible. The stainless and chrome on the car is all original and finished to the highest possible standards. The interior of the car was done in Torch Red leather; double stitching on dash and panels adds a real custom touch. The seats are concaved for additional seating room, the steering wheel was made removable for ease of entry/exit and with the additional 3' of leg room provided by the extended firewall, it's a much more comfortable ride. It's equipped with automatic day/night headlights, power windows, Dakota Digital VHX carbon-fiber gauge package and Vintage Air Gen IV super cooler with controls integrated for the original factory look. It has a Bluetooth-controlled JL amplifier, subwoofer and Focal speakers. The convertible top was completely restored, powder-coated, new bushings, latches and a matching red Stayfast top that really complements the car. It has 200 miles on the car for shakedown, comes with engine and transmission warranty papers, all wiring schematics, parts instruction manuals and over 100 pictures of the restoration from start to finish.
