1962 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE

Details

This is a one-of-a-kind custom with 560hp LS7. Completed in 2009, an original 1962 frame modified by Paul Newman Chassis was used and for a clean appearance. The frame has a boxed in cross member and is finished in high gloss black. The front and rear suspension comes from a 1987 Corvette with power brakes and steering and utilizes a Dana 44 differential. For the power plant, a new GM Performance fuel injected 560hp LS7 motor was added, which is backed up by a Tremac 6-speed transmission. The

exhaust begins with custom made ceramic coated headers that flow into 2 ?' chambered side exhaust with new as original 1969 shields. An original 1962 body was used with the rear portion widened 7' while keeping the factory lines. For the front end, a new press molded fiberglass clip was utilized and '69 side grills added. An original '62 hood was used with LT1 hood skin incorporated. The body was finished in base coat clear coat Indigo Blue giving it a deep blue, black at times appearance. The interior is completed in Al Knoch custom two tone leather including the seats, door pads and dash pad. The cockpit is covered in a dark blue cloth convertible top. The cockpit is equipped with power windows, Vintage Air condition system, AM/FM/CD/DVD stereo and electronic gauges.
