1961 FORD F-100 CUSTOM PICKUP

A rare 1961 Ford unibody big window custom truck built by James Crowder. Featured in Truckin' Magazine, this truck has undergone a no-expense-spared restoration and customization. James created an ultra-cool custom out of a limited production pickup. Only a handful were sold with the big rear window. The body has all the handles, emblems and gas door removed and a custom roll pan installed. A steel 3-piece bed cover was fabricated to cover the gas tank that was moved to the front of the bed. The

paint is a work of art. James started with Sunset Orange and dark silver two tone, then mixed several oranges together to create the awesome flames that overlap each other. The customizing did not stop with the body, the interior has custom door panels, dash, center console and stereo. A Hurricane air conditioner was installed. Power windows, locks and tilt steering column with a LeCarra steering wheel was installed. The stereo is Premier Audio with custom amp and speaker box tucked nicely behind the seat. The engine is a 351 Windsor with Edelbrock intake, carburetor, Lunati cam and Hedman headers. The custom induction system takes the engine compartment to a new level. It has a C6 transmission and a 9' rear end. The suspension has custom upper and lower A-arms and front disc brakes. Out back the rear leaf springs were flipped under the axle to drop the rear. 17' and 20' American Racing wheels.
