Details
This 1961 Pro-Touring-style convertible Corvette was inspired by the 2015 Stingray. It features a carbon-fiber louvered hood, Torch Red leather upholstery, painted in Artic White with a Blade Silver hood stripe. The car was professionally built with a new 2015 LT1 direct-injected engine, 6.2-liter 460hp 465 ft/lb. torque 4L70E 4-speed automatic transmission, Art Morrison C7 chassis, powder-coated to match body color with JRI coilovers with fully adjustable ride height. It features Wilwood
6-piston caliper C7 - the biggest disc brake package available, stainless brake lines and Schott accelerator wheels (19' front and 20' rear) with 3-bar knock-off center nuts and Nitto extreme tires. It also has power rack & pinion steering, air conditioning with controls integrated for the original factory look, Aeromotive (whisper-quiet) Phantom Stealth in tank fuel pump, Fragola Teflon fuel lines, GM wiring harness and computer (factory programmed), Kwik Performance front runner assembly, polished LT1 headers and two 1/2' polished stainless-steel side-exiting exhaust with Borla mufflers. The body was completely striped with glass beads; Evercoat Feather Fill primer was used. The body was allowed to set in between primer coats outside to avoid paint shrinkage. All PPG products were used. Four coats of clear were applied and was sanded from 800 to 5000 grit and polished. All body gaps are excellent and all panels are laser-straight. The engine bay was finished to the highest standards and great attention was paid to render the wiring nearly invisible. The bottom side of the car was ceramic-coated for a heat barrier, and the inside of the car was Lizard-Skinned and then Dynamatted for a sound barrier. All stainless and chrome were refinished to the highest possible standards. The interior was done in Torch Red leather. The double-stitched leather dash adds a custom touch. The logo seats were dropped 4' for ease of entrance and exit. It has a custom Dakota Digital VHX gauge package with red back lighting. The stereo system features JL Audio amplifier with Bluetooth, iPod/Sirius/XM radio and Focal speakers. It has 200 miles since the restoration for shakedown. It comes with pictures of the restoration from start to finish.
