Details
Designed by the late David Holls, the 59 Cadillac has been described as 'the epitome of american excess'. the tailfins, incorporated into the design of Cadillacs in 1948, soon became their most famous styling feature. With each successive series of new cars, these rear fender appendages grew higher and more flamboyant. By the late 50's, they had reached ludicrous proportions and were of questionable taste. This particular car was owned and restored by the late 'friendly' Bob Adams. Bob was a very well known and respected classic and collector car dealer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Scottsdale, Arizona. Friendly Bob had some of the greatest '59 Cadillacs in the US. This car was sold prior to his death to a very well respected collector, the car has been maintained and kept privately for 10 years. This is a very nice example of the very rare and desirable Fleetwood series Seventy-Five limousine. There are very few examples known to have survived. A timeless design and statement anywhere it arrives.
