1958 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE

This custom 1958 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was designed and built by Idaho Muscle Cars. It is powered by a 572ci big-block Chevrolet crate engine that stated 720hp with a Holley engine-management system. A polished and chrome Vintage Air Front Runner provides air conditioning, alternator and power steering using detailed mounting brackets. This Corvette is equipped with polished and chrome-plated components with polished billet pulleys. The engine received a cross-ram injection system from Kinsler Fuel Injection, and a custom polished aluminum radiator and condenser with an 18-inch electric fan was custom-built for this vehicle. The headers are fabricated from polished stainless steel and have been Cerakote ceramic-coated black and wrapped. The engine was tuned and dyno-tested by Auto Trend Pennila Racing. This car sits on a GT Sport chassis by Art Morrison that was specifically ordered for the state-of-the-art Pro-Touring build. The complete chassis includes 14-inch drilled and slotted rotors with Wilwood 6-piston calipers. The brake lines are all fabricated from polished stainless-steel tubing with AN fittings. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual rear-wheel-drive transmission. The exhaust in fabricated from 3-inch stainless-steel tubing connected to dual polished MagnaFlow mufflers. The rear differential is fabricated with a 9-inch Ford Strange nodular iron center section with a 31-spline axle. The differential is mounted using an Art Morrison triangulated 4-bar system using coilover shocks, and the driveshaft and custom aluminum fuel tank are both polished. It rides on Schott billet Tomahawk wheels that are high-end and polished on both sides. The front wheels measure 19x10 with 285/30ZR19 tires, and the rear wheels measure 20x12 with 345/25ZR20 tires. The tires on this vehicle are Nitto Invo Max performance street radials. It is equipped with an electric parking brake and has a fully custom-fabricated upholstery that was sewn to quality standards using two different styles of European leather by Gabe's Street Rod Custom Interiors. The dash was custom fabricated with custom gauges from Classic Industries. It received a custom 3-piece leather-wrapped billet tilt steering wheel by Evod, which matches the wheels. The shift knob has baseball-style stitching and is finished in matching leather. A custom stereo was installed by The Audio Shop. A keyless push-button ignition adds to the high-tech list of upgrades. This 65-year-old first series Corvette has been massaged until every fiberglass panel was laser-straight. All the exterior emblems have been removed and the one-year-only trunk lid had the spears were removed for a smooth appearance. The windshield and door glasses are all new, and the windshield's stainless-steel molding has been expertly polished and detailed.
