1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD E CONVERTIBLE

This beautiful Bronze car was built on March 13, 1957, in Dearborn, Michigan as one of only 1,499 'E' Code Thunderbird cars manufactured in 1957. These 'E' Code high performance Thunderbird's were factory equipped with two 4-barrel Holley carburetors, increasing the available horsepower from the 312cid engine by more than 10%, up to 270hp. This particular car is rare, because this car was built with a 3-speed overdrive manual transmission. Other factory equipment installed on this car included a

hard top, engine dress kit, power seats, power windows, power steering, signal seek radio and backup lights. As part of a previous restoration performed some 19 years ago, the interior color pattern was changed to black and white from the original bronze interior, and roadster wire wheels with radial tires were substituted for the original bias ply tires and full wheel covers. All lights, gauges and systems are in perfect working order. The engine compartment and trunk area are immaculate and the frame and underside of this car are still in excellent condition, as a result of the careful undercoating provided during the restoration process.
