Details
The Thunderbird was Ford’s answer to the Corvette and in 1957 it outsold the Corvette. The Thunderbird was designed as a personal luxury car, with better styling, and more options than any other 2-seater sold in its day. The standard 312 was the largest engine in its class with options like automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes. This is a true California car with no rust. This car was sold new in San Jose, and remained in the Bay Area its entire life. Its paint and interior have been re-done in the original colors. The engine compartment is highly detailed and the car features a distinctive porthole top, soft-top, tonneau cover, wide whitewall tires and fender skirts. It’s powered by a 312ci 8-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission.
