This 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner is powered by a Thunderbird 312ci V8 engine paired with a 3-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. It is finished in red and white over a red and white interior. Ford's 1957 Skyliner was the world's first factory mass-produced retracting-hardtop convertible. This example is one of 20,766 Skyliner retractable hardtops produced in the 3-year production from 1957-59. It was promoted as the 'Hideaway Hardtop.'
