Details

Timeless classic styling and cutting edge technology. What could be better? This original 1957 Corvette was rebuilt from the ground up starting with an Art Morrison chassis. All the chassis welds were filled and smoothed. It was then painted a magnificent, special-mix Champagne hue which was smoothed, color sanded and buffed to a finish that matches the exterior of the car. It was then fitted with fully polished and chrome plated C4 Corvette suspension components and Aldan adjustable chrome coilover shocks on all four corners. The rear end was then narrowed to accommodate a wider tire and rim. Power comes from the latest Z06 Corvette powerplant- the 505hp, 427cid LS7. This technological wonder features drive by wire and dry sump oiling technology and is the ultimate in American muscle. The powerplant is cooled by a polished PRC cross-flow aluminum radiator with an electric fan. A Tremec 6-speed transmission and DANA 44 rear end with 3.70 gear ratio complete the drivetrain. All polished and stainless steel brake and fuel lines were routed through the frame for cleanliness of design and component protection. A polished SSBC billet master cylinder operates the Wilwood brakes, which feature cross-drilled, slotted rotors and polished calipers. A custom, ceramic coated exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers and Street and Performance headers was custom fabricated with four outlet polished stainless exhaust outlets which exit in the rear center of the car. Street and Performance also provided the serpentine pulley system and other chrome engine accessories. 18' Billet Specialties wheels and Nitto tires complete the rolling chassis. The original 1957 body was painstakingly prepared over a 3-year period and was then painted in a special-mix, base coat/clear coat Champagne hue. Some of the body modifications include smoothing the underside of the hood and removal of the stock braces, smoothing the firewall, building custom side panels and moving the battery to the inside of the rear quarter panel (in the trunk). A custom mounting panel was designed to accommodate the specially built dry sump tank. The engine compartment, wheel wells and underbody received the same treatment as the exterior of the car, which adds to the unbelievable level of detail, fit and finish that has been achieved. In addition to the full custom leather, which extends to the trunk and convertible top well, the interior features classic instrument gauges, Flaming River polished steering column, Billet Specialties steering wheel, Vintage Air and heat, and a Panasonic stereo system with an in-dash DVD monitor. Wiring was provided by Painless, Inc. Power windows and Lokar pedals complete the package.
