This Bel Air hardtop street rod is an exceptional car that is the recipient of a show quality frame-off restoration completed in 2006 by D&P Classic Chevy in Huntington Beach, California, well known for their work on SPEED TV's 'Chop Cut Rebuild' television show. Under the hood is a GM performance 502cid big block with Ram Jet Fuel Injection and aluminum heads that is rated by GM at 502hp and 565ft/lbs of torque. This monster is backed by a heavy duty Art Carr 2004R 4-speed overdrive automatic
transmission, good for up to 2,000hp, driving a GM 12-bolt posi-traction rear end. The suspension is upgraded with Heidt's tubular front control arm, dropped spindles, upgraded springs, Baer 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors and 18' front and 20' rear billet wheels wearing Z-rated high performance tires. In the build, focus was also placed on giving the car modern amenities you would want if you were participating in the Power Tour or similar events. The interior features custom cut-down Lexus SC400 power bucket seats, glove soft full leather upholstery with ostrich trim, Vintage Air air conditioning, custom leather door panels, custom console, a Panasonic audio system, fully upgraded Classic Instruments gauges, billet steering wheel and trim, tilt steering column and much more. Included with the car are several trophies, a display board, vintage Washington state Green Plate 1957 license plate, car cover, full build information from D&P stating a build cost in excess of $175,000.
