Description

Summary

This high-end, 12-year custom-built wagon is powered by a 6.0-liter Y6 fuel-injected V8 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Details

This 1957 Chevrolet 150 Station Wagon is a no-expense-spared modern-day muscle car with 220 miles since its 12-year restoration. The drivetrain is a new 6.0-liter V8 engine topped with LY6 fuel injection with COMP Cams cam and valve springs. The car gets power to the wheels through a rebuilt T56 6-speed manual transmission with Z06 internals. The exhaust is custom stainless with long tube headers and is cooled by an aluminum radiator. The front suspension is built with CPP tubular front suspension on a factory California tube chassis that is powder-coated. It includes a Speedway Engineering front sway bar with splined connecting links. The rear suspension is built with Art Morrison triangulated 4-link rear suspension with Strange coilovers and a Moser Ford 9-inch rear differential with 3.73 gears and a custom chromoly driveshaft delivering the 450hp. The Centerline wheels are wrapped with BFGoodrich tires. For steering, it has a Borgeson Delphi 600 power steering box. Stopping power comes from C6 front brakes and Wilwood 4-piston in the rear with a Wilwood master cylinder. The rear side windows roll down with custom-made channels, motors and regulators, and the glass is all factory tinted. The fender wells, rear differential, radiator support and suspension components are powder-coated. The floor pan is a full one-piece, and the underneath of the car is as show-quality as the exterior and interior. The interior is custom-built by Ciadella Interiors in Arizona and includes a custom center console finished in red. The floors are covered in Dynamat with Mercedes carpeting and the front seats are out of an Impala. The dashboard is smoothed and fully electronic with a Flaming River steering column. The car was built with Vintage Air climate control. The stereo is made by Kenwood and has Apple Carplay. Featured in Super Chevy Magazine.
