Details
Here is a car with a story, and a good one. This could be the oldest surviving 1957 Chevy in the world. By the VIN number, it is the second 1957 Chevy to roll off the Oakland, California assembly line. The body number indicates this as being the first sedan produced. It gets better. This car has only 46,133 original miles and was sold new at Greg-Owens Chevrolet in Portland, Oregon, to Ms. Victoria Clanfield on October 19, 1956, when she was 68 years old. Documentation is plentiful and includes
the original sales order, owner's guide, service policy, maintenance receipts, nearly 30 years of registrations, insurance receipts and even Ms. Clanfield's original Oregon driver's license. Options are few and include the original 6 cylinder engine, 3-speed column shift transmission, AM radio, heater and a clock. That's it. The interior is 100% factory original with rubber floor coverings and still shows quite nicely. The black and white two tone exterior was refinished in the early 1990s and is outstanding. This car has always been garaged and has remained in the Portland area its entire life. Here is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own body #1.
