This 1956 Ford Thunderbird convertible is powered by a 312ci 8-cylinder engine paired with an automatic transmission. The car has undergone a frame-off restoration and has travelled 8,437 miles since. The engine is a 312Y block with less than 100 miles since a top-end overhaul, which included the addition of ECZ-G heads, valves and rocker assemblies. The engine has electronic ignition and an alternator in the generator housing. A Mummert intake with Holley Quick Fuel carburetor has been

installed. Engine cooling is assisted with a triple-pass radiator, updated water pump and large-diameter thermostat. After engine upgrades the car was dyno-tested, and the dyno sheet is included in the photo binder. The car's paint job was given a full restoration by blocking, sanding, paint correction and ceramic coating, including parts of the engine bay. Rubber seals in the hardtop were replaced. The tachometer was converted to electric, and the dash clock was overhauled. The radio powers on and the dials move. A new heater core was installed, as well as a new blower motor. All parts on hand that are associated with the car - including factory wheels, hubcaps, cast-iron intake, T-Pot carburetor, generator and radiator - are included in the sale. Albums containing photos of all restoration work, vehicle history and notes (including a note from the second owner) are included. This car was owned by its second owner for 30 years and a picture of the owner in the car is in one of the albums.
