One of the best of the best, is the only way to describe this Truck of the Year honoree from the F-100 Supernationals in Piegeon Forge, Tennessee. Initially the 1956 Ford F-100 truck underwent a nine year build, then, an additional three years were spent on the second build, which led to the award winner pictured on the October 2002 cover of Classic Trucks Magazine. Since, this truck has been cared for with 'gloves only,' and has been housed in a climate controlled environment by its current

owner. The build of this national award winner consists of a 351cid Ford Windsor, 4 barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, Sanderson headers and 2 ?' Flowmaster exhaust system and a C4 transmission with a B&M shifter transfers power via a polished Inland aluminum driveshaft with 3.75 rear end gearing. It rides on a custom built chassis which has been powedercoated, 4-wheel disc brakes, stainless lines, and a Heidt's independent front suspension with custom triangulated 4-link in the rear and coilovers all around. It features Billet Specialties wheels 17'x7' fronts and 17'x8' rears with Nitto 225/50R17 and 255/50R17 tires. The body seams and vents were filled. Other modifications include shaved trim, smooth running boards, widened glass rear fenders and a reverse opening hood. The bed pockets were filled, the bed tailgate smoothed and a custom wood was installed. This award winner is painted in PPG Black Purple pearl coat which is as smooth and straight as you'll find. Lighting is Mercedes halogen headlights and custom fabricated rear taillights in a fabricated roll pan. Inside the smooth dash is home to Dakota Digital instruments and a custom built console houses an Alpine stereo with Polk speakers. Tea Design seats are wrapped in orchid leather with custom interior door panels and cab in matching material with the carpet in the same color. Other cabin features include Vintage Air, Billet Specialties steering wheel and Ididit tilt column that connects to a Mustang rack & pinion.
