Details
1955 was the first year of the new body style for Chevrolet and GMC. General Motors did not offer factory installed 4-wheel drive then. To have that, you first bought your new Chevrolet or GMC for about $1,900. You then ordered, from your dealer, the Northwestern Auto Parts Company (NAPCO) optional 4-wheel drive package for about $1,300 installed. As you can see, this was a very expensive option at the time. Hence, very few exist. This truck has the optional V8 engine along with a radio, heater, sun visor and tachometer. It also has the 3-speed manual transmission with a granny gear. It has had a meticulous frame-off restoration. Absolutely great paint, chrome and interior. The bed of this truck is finished as it would have been delivered from the factory. The underside is as nice as the top.
