Details
Only 700 1955 Corvettes were produced, most of them being equipped with the new 265 V8 engine. This car is one of the seven 1955 Corvettes to leave the factory with the 235cid 6-cylinder engine. A total body-off restoration was completed in 1985. The restored chassis was displayed at the NCRS National in Bowling Green, KY in 1983 where members witnessed the serial numbers stamped in the frame and the mechanical points distinguishing it as a 1955 6-cylinder chassis. The car was awarded NCRS Top
Flight awards at Boston in 1985 and Cypress Gardens in 1986 and 1991. This is serial number 433 of 700. From the Bob Howard Collection.
