Description
This 1955 Chevy Bel Air 2-door hardtop is a rust-free Resto-Mod that has gone through a frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration. A new front clip and new doors have been added. It is powered by a 454ci V8 engine with March Performance serpentine belt system and an E-force polished manifold plus an Edelbrock Polished Performer 600 carburetor. The engine is mated to a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. It features a Ford 9-inch rear end and a triangulated 4-link GM kit. The frame has been fitted with a GM frame brace kit and coilover rear suspension. Four-corner disc brakes with tubular front control arms have all been installed, along with rack & pinion steering. The firewall has been smoothed with Eddie Motorsports hinges to connect the hood. The interior features a Dakota Digital dash bezel, white LED halo headlights and ABU radio iPod with Boss speaker system. The car has been completely rewired with American Autowire system. Flowmaster mufflers with 2.5-inch exhaust with chrome tips and a stainless-steel gas tank have been installed. The car rides nice on Ridler chrome wheels with Radar tires, 245/50/18 on the rear and 215/60/17 on the front. The combination of Champagne Metallic and Jade Metallic paint makes a real beauty. New smooth chrome bumpers and a new front grille, as well as new and repolished stainless trim, finishes out the exterior. An electrically operated hidden gas fuel filler installed behind the driver's side taillight replaces the original flap-style door on the side of the car. The steering column is chrome tilt-column with a customized original steering wheel. Vintage Air Gen IV has been added with custom vent system, along with a non-vented cowl. Very nice custom faux leather bench seat with faux ostrich inserts and Jade trim to match the exterior.
