This 1951 Mercury custom show car is absolutely gorgeous in every detail. The underneath is nicely detailed, every bolt has been replaced, the frame is great. Under the hood is detailed and looks amazing. Truly a top notch show car with over $225,000 in receipts, with a binder of build manuals and receipts. The all steel Mercury body was chopped 5?' at the A-pillar and 6' at the rear window, rear window was laid back. The doors and B-pillar were slanted forward. The 1950 Mercury one-piece back

window was laid forward, 1950 Mercury 4-door top modified for the chopped look, frenched headlamps, frenched glass Porsche Speedster front turn signals, frenched 1954 Mercury taillamps, custom made 1954 Mercury tail lamps with LED's, frenched antenna, nosed hood, shaved door handles, remote control door openers, beautiful custom made stainless steel molding trims made for the window, side windows and rear windows. Three sets of 1953 Buick Roadmaster side trims were used to create the side trim for each side. 1953 DeSoto chrome grille with floating design teeth and tinted new glass windows. Stock chassis blasted and 5 coats of black PPG Pure Black applied with 3 coats of clear. All stainless nuts and bolts, chrome dash, custom gauges are VDO. Black leather interior, front and rear seats. Body fully insulated and isolated from noise and heat, black wool carpet, complete new electrical wiring harnesses and fuse panel. Chrome door handles and latches, remote controlled hidden custom stereo system in the nicely finished trunk. Independent front suspension, oversized truck drum brakes, converted with dual master cylinder, new brake lines, gel cell battery in the trunk, new stainless fuel tank, custom made wheels, 1961 Buick hubcaps with aluminum hub and new braided fuel line. The powertrain is a Mercury 255cid flathead motor completely rebuilt mated to a 3-speed with electric overdrive transmission. This black beauty's build was a labor of love. with perfect body lines, fit and remarkable paint finish. one of the best 1951 merc's.
