Details
This is a full custom that is period perfect with its original Flathead V8 engine with Offenhauser aluminum heads, Edelbrock dual intake with a pair of Stromberg 2 barrels, headers and Smithy's steel pack mufflers. The electrical system has been upgraded to 12-volts, an extra capacity system 24-gallon stainless fuel tank added, power steering installed and Vintage Air is built into dash. The vehicle underwent a full frame-off restoration at Arizona Street Rods in Phoenix, AZ who performed all of
the body work and modifications. Modifications numbering well over 20 include the installation of '53 Buick side trim, a molded grille shell with '52 DeSoto grille with added teeth, '54 Mercury taillights, restyled bumpers, flush fit skirts and a 3' chop. This car has not appeared in any car shows outside of Arizona. It has been featured in May 2010 issue of Rod & Custom magazine and the winner of awards including Boyd Coddington Top Ten awards.
