Details

Powered by a 454ci V8 engine with a TH400 3 speed automatic transmission, this truck was a 5-year complete restoration that started by removing everything from the truck and frame for sandblasting. Most body parts were replaced, including but not limited to front and rear fenders, tailgate and a new hood. A new chrome front grille and other chrome accessories were installed. Both doors were fitted and aligned with new hinges and latches. Minor bodywork was professionally repaired, sealed, primed

and finished with a timeless Bright White paint. The body was overlaid with a custom-designed and installed wrap by Razor Wraps using a white pearl with a touch of gold metal flake, finished with beautiful red ghost flames. The cab is fitted with a low-profile sun visor accented with hand-painted pinstripes. The inner bed's sides are lined in stainless diamond plate with a durable Trex wood flooring. The bed's side rails were handmade from white oak wood and stained with a clear gloss finish, giving this truck its nostalgic, old-school appearance, and Dee Zee-brand running boards were custom-fit to finish off the body. Accent lighting has been added to the truck above the visor, along the running boards and within the inner fender wells to illuminate its unique appearance. The accent lighting continues inside the cab, highlighting the new dashboard gauges, including an added AutoMeter speedometer and tachometer. A chrome steering column with tilt adjustments and chrome-covered dashboard panels were installed to maintain the original stock interior design but add a bit of flair. Other interior features include a bench seat with new floor carpeting, new headliner and rear sliding glass window. The chassis is an early '80s one-ton Chevrolet frame and rear ends, fitted up front with a custom-fabricated adjustable 4-link coilover front shock suspension from Off Road Design. The rear suspension includes custom leaf springs with Skyjacker Kicker shocks mounted on top of them and a dual Skyjacker rear shock mount kit. BDS recoil traction bars were added to the rear end for stability. This pickup is powered by a completely rebuilt 454ci big-block engine with a mild street cam and a Holley 750 dual feed carburetor sitting on an aluminum intake. The completely rebuilt transmission is a TH400 3-speed heavy-duty unit transferring power into a one-ton transfer case connecting to two custom-made driveshafts on both the front and rear. Its engine sound comes from a custom exhaust system with dual Flowmaster mufflers. This truck is a daily driver for cruising the town or hitting the shows, and includes a set of four transport tires.
