You are viewing a beautiful 1949 Ford custom tudor sedan. This was as Ford called it, 'the car that saved Ford.' During the first day they were on sale, orders were taken for more than 100,000, and went on to sell more than 1 million cars after an 18-month run. This Ford went through a frame-off restoration. The arrow-straight body is painted in a stunning Dark Blue metallic two stage paint. All of the chrome trim and glass are in excellent condition. This '49 Ford has the Firestone wide white

walls with the correct color coded steel wheels with beauty rings and hub caps. The front grille is in excellent condition and notice the stainless headlight eyebrows. This Ford has the factory optional dual spot lights and mirrors. Looking at the rear it has blue dot tail lights, dual exhaust, skirts and backup lights. The interior is the two tone cloth interior that has also been completely restored. This '49 Ford has turn signals, AM radio and the optional 'magic air temperature system.' The dash looks like new as does the steering wheel and chrome knobs across the dash. This Ford is equipped with the 3-speed manual transmission. The trunk is also restored to original condition. Under the hood is the period correct P8BA 239cid 100hp Flathead V8. This engine has been rebuilt and modified with Offenhauser aluminum finned cylinder heads, Offenhauser aluminum intake with dual 2-barrel carburetors, beehive oil filter and a dress-up kit with stainless radiator tubes, chrome generator and chrome thermostat housings. This engine is estimated to be pushing 135hp now with the upgrades and is still a 6-volt system. These '49s are very rare especially in this condition. This will be an excellent addition to any collector's Ford collection.
