This 'Sedanette' is powered by the venerable 331ci OHV V8 engine rated at 160hp mated to an automatic transmission. In 1949 Cadillac offered a full lineup of different models, more than any other GM division. One of the most unique and stylish was the Series 61 Club Coupe, also referred to as the Sedanette or Fastback. This 1949 Cadillac was once a museum car; it spent most of its life sitting inside and driven very little. Showing just over 33,000 original miles on the odometer and original

1949 chrome, except the driver's door mirror and rear bumper core, attests to the low mileage. Also, the original 1949 Cadillac jack is still in the box in the trunk, along with the original wooden chock block. This is a matching-numbers car; the motor number and VIN are the same. The Cadillac badges both front and rear are original and look like NOS, attesting to the limited amount of UV light exposure. The Cadillac hubcap centers are like new and original to the car as well. The dash and gauges are original and fully functional. Not many options were available in 1949, but this car has most of the available chrome options, including front and rear bumper guards, front and rear license plate brackets, full stainless-steel rocker molding covers and full hubcaps. This Sedanette was originally green and has been painted Evergreen Mist in keeping with the original exterior/interior green color scheme. Other than a complete detailing and new paint, the car remains as it was when removed from the museum. Runs and drives great.
