Description
This 1948 Lincoln Continental convertible is one of 452 built for the model year and is recognized as a CCCA Full Classic. This example was the beneficiary of a complete professional restoration. The exterior is finished in Pace Car Yellow, as the 1948 Lincoln was the pace car for that year's Indianapolis 500 Speedway event. It is powered by a fully rebuilt 292ci Flathead V12 engine mated to a BorgWarner 3-speed manual transmission specially built for this car. It also features a Columbia 2-speed rear axle serving as an overdrive for highway driving. This Lincoln is period-correct according to the standard offered by the Lincoln-Zephyr Owners Club (LZOC). The interior leather was cut and stitched by one of the leading interior craftsmen in Florida. Bob Booze, a famous Lincoln restoration specialist, did the chrome. This Continental rides on classic Vogue whitewall gold line tires.
