1944 D.U.K.W. also known as a Duck military amphibious transport based on the 6-wheel wheel drive C.C.K.W. This Duck was purchased and restored in 2007. Drives and Swims currently. Excellent condition. Great fun unique vehicle.
Details
This D.U.K.W. was restored in 2007. The entire body was stripped inside and out, it was then sand blasted, primed and painted. The drivetrain was inspected, repaired as neccasary and reinstalled all new brakes, brake cylinders, tires, undercarriage parts, motor, transmission, floorboards, wiring etc. This Duck has been utilized as a private amphibious vehicle since that time. It drives and swims about three times a year. The body of this Duck is in great shape and the sides have not been cut as
so many were to drain water. This is a very water tight and great running Duck. The DUKW is a six-wheeled amphibious truck designed by a partnership under military auspices of Sparkman and Stevens and General Motors Corporation during World War II for transporting goods and troops over land and water and for use approaching and crossing beaches in amphibious attacks. It is a modification of the 2 ton capacity 'Deuce' trucks used by the military in World War II. This is a very clean and great condition Duck. **SOLD ON BILL OF SALE ONLY**
