Details
This 1939 Pontiac Kansas Highway Patrol Car was restored using the Patrol's historical and archival help. First color scheme which was silver and black. The roof lights and spotlights are correct and functional as are the rare KHP license plates. The painted lettering on the front, back and roof is identical to what was placed on these cars in the late 30's. The Kansas Highway Patrol did not have 2 way radios in 1939 and so they got information by the car radio with a large whip antenna, tuned to WIBW AM580. The Pontiac itself runs, drive and stops well. The interior features the deluxe Pontiac heater as well as the optional accessory fan.
