This fabulous Packard has a known history since new. In 1917 a Mrs. Gordon of Norwalk, CT purchased a new Pierce-Arrow with the limousine body seen here. Later she retained this body and had it mounted on this 12 cylinder Packard chassis. Noted tenor and car collector James Melton was the second owner who gave the car to his wife as a Christmas present. In 1961 the car was sold to Winthrop Rockefeller who displayed the car in his Arkansas museum. The Harrah Collection acquired the car in 1976 and sold it in 1984. Equipped with jump seats, bud vases and dual side mount spares. This is a fabulous Packard 12 motorcar with a great history.
