Details
Purchased by the present owner in March 1998 in Minnesota, this truck was in need of a cosmetic restoration. The 85hp engine is the original for that truck. It runs well, is very reliable and is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission with creeper gear. The transmission is tight and the stiff suspension is a reminder that this is a work truck. Notable work to restore the car to its current state included recoring the radiator, a repaint in the original green color, sandblast and repaint of the
wheels, prime and epoxy the frame, paint spare tire frame, sand and paint sideboards and hardware, and install a teak hardwood bed. The engine has been serviced. The oil was changed with a non-detergent oil. There are no modifications to the engine, interior or exterior, and the truck is represented to be authentic for the time period. The seat appears to be original and shows age and some wear, but is intact.
