An almost rust-free example, it is original steel except for fiberglass rear fenders and all new rocker panels. A 1950 truck engine bored .040 over, rods .030 over and mains .020. Hydraulic brakes with new lines, hoses and silicone fluids.
Details
This Ford Pickup had its engine replaced with a '50 Ford truck engine, after a ground-up, body-off restoration. Tube shocks were added, each spring has a poly strip between its leafs, no squeaks. 12-volt electrical conversion, tinted windows, turn signals and armrests on both doors. It has '40 model steering gear for easier turning, five new Coker white side wall tires and the windshield is sealed. The bed wood is pine with four coats of polyurethane. Metal bed strips are powder coated for
durability. Custom exhaust headers followed with dual Flowmasters. Radiator is Super-Cool with four rows of tubes. Electric fan for cooling. Electric fuel pump, electric wipers and halogen headlights. Hydraulic brakes with silicone fluid. LeBaron Bonney interior with lots of sound deadner. The Sherwin-Williams paint is Washington Blue with black fenders.
